STRIKE! Update...

Ok, here a few comments on the Sacramento Bee website from readers.

The bad:

Spoiled gov/city workers that operate at a snails pace but get their benefits and scheduled raises right on time. What's the problem now? I'd do anything to get a decent job around here. You would'nt see me striking anything.

There's a lot of unemployed people in the county which may be interested in collecting 8 hours pay for menial tasks.

Go ahead and go on strike, see if I care. Losers. And don't let the door hit ya on the way out. Now, if you did some meaningful work once in awhile, I might actually feel sorry for you, but you don't, so I don't feel sorry for you.

My question is, other than seeing the picket lines, will anybody notice they're on strike?

Poor, poor county workers, having to put some of their hard earned dough into their health care plans, just like the rest of us. WAKE UP CALIFORNIA, TIME TO TRIM THE FAT! WE ARE BROKE AND THE UNIONS DON'T CARE! As employees of the taxpayers, if you walk, YOUR FIRED! Good riddance.

If we could just let them hang in the wind out there we would all find out just how much we don't need them, government service is a self perpetuating welfare state for the unemployable. They in reality do little or nothing that benefits the public, this is the perfect opportunity to get rid of them.

The Good:

I am one of these lazy, incompetent workers who do menial tasks (dohmixer idiot). Wait until you need me because your important, big time job ends. When you need food stamps, or Medi-Cal, or can't make the mortgage payment on your expensive, important, status inducing home. Please come to my office where this $14.93 lazy worker is. You know, the one whose been there for 7 years without a raise and has bills to pay. I can't wait to live down to your expectations, then I'll watch you go hungry, get sick and loose your home & guess what? I could care less & hope people with your attitude suffer for, say, 7 years.

If you actually think that these people want to strike then you are out of your minds. These people are fighting for their livelihoods and those of their families. I am also sorry that you are so uninformed about the jobs that these good people do. They are not lazy people collecting paychecks, these are hard working people who provide valuable services to the citizens of Sacramento County. Perhaps you should imagine what you would do faced with the same situation. What would you do if essentially you were offered a decrease in your pay, just sit there and suck it up. I think not. Or if you had a friend or family member that was in this situation would you feel the same way? Go have your morning coffee and wake up to the realities of the situation before you make uninformed comments.

Yeah. I can tell you from experience that I do a lot of hardcore work for the clients in Sacramento County. More so for the Mexican/Spanish community. I worry more about them right then myself. I can't tell you how many battered women come into my office pregnant, homeless with no place to go. No one thinks about them. All the public cares about is their trash. Bitches. How dare anyone judge me without even knowing me and what I do. Mind you, I have different views about the strike, but in the end I support my fellow co-workers and their objectives. I however can't help but wonder what the office's are gonna look like when the strikes over. The work they walked out from will be sitting there waiting for them when they get back. I blame the Board of Supervisors. They forced the hand of the union workers. Again, I hope this strike ends soon, and with a resolution that can be agreed upon by all.

Something to think about...

May Day!

Today is "May Day", a day where immigrants are supposed to take a stand on the absurd immigration laws that the Bush bitch hopes to pass. I'm not technicaly an immigrant because I was born here, as was my mother, but the sperm donor was born in Mexico. This new law, if passed will no longer give children who are born in the U.S. with undocumented parents U.S. citizenship. Also, any crimes an immigrant commits, no matter how minor, will be sent back their original country of origin. It's crap! My grandfather, grandmother, and their parents where all immigrants and became successful members of society. Don't get me wrong, if an undocumented person commits a crime, then by all means have them do the time. But this law to me is a smack in the face, not only to my family generations before me, but to their memories.

I also have to add that this law does not just effect the Latino community, it effects any immigrant who comes to the U.S. for a better life. In observance, I'll be wearing my white t-shirt in support of my fellow Latinos. I hope this humane protest slaps the Bush bitch supporters in the face and acts as a wake up call.

It's funny... The "Statue of Liberty" is supposed to be our welcome mat for those who are "tired and hungry". She should be redesigned so folks who see her see her hand in a "talk to the hand" pose...

Support gay marriage in CA

Hi everyone, this is Scott. Roque asked me to post this since he is at work and can't post it himself.

Our wonderfull Gov has not veto'd bill 849 yet. We need to make our voices heard and express our support for this bill. We want marriage equality! So give a call and express your support. Instructions are below.

*I apologize for not having a nifty comic pic for this, I am not as good at finding that stuff like my hubby is.

-Scott

It's all automated, so you don't have to talk to anyone.

Follow these directions:
1. Call the Governor: 916-445-2841
(This number is listed at http://www.governor.ca.gov)
2. Push: 2 (voice your opinion on legislation)
3. Push: 1 (gender-neutral marriage bill - Senate Bill 849)
4. And push: 1 to support marriage equality

You don't have to be from California, you just have to call.

Gay Marriage... rejected...

Yup, that joke of a Governor is planning on rejecting the legalization of gay marriage. What the fuck?!? HOW IS MY MARRYING THE MAN OF DREAMS ANY OF HIS BUSINESS? I pay my bloody taxes, why is that not good enough?

A few months back, I asked for some help on a script that I'm writing. The plotting and storyboards are almost done. This will be my tribute to the gays out there who wanna get married but can't because of dumb ass closed mined people running our state. Ask yourself this, what would they do if they were in our Diesel shoes? That's kinda the plot of the screen play. But for now, keep reading.
