fall season 2008/09
Ok, so after much research, I'm über happy to find out that Sara Conner Chronicals and Eli Stone are coming back! Yay! I'm sad that Miss Guided and Moonlight didn't make it. What I also found out was that NBC is doing an Office spin off. Interesting. And! Scrubs is moving to ABC. Who knew ABC had good comedy taste? That was a jab because of Miss Guided's cancelation... I'm sorts happy that Private Practice is coming back. Still not a hundred percent sold, but its good TiVo filler. I'm really excited about Pushing Daisies, Greys Anatomy, Smallville (no Lana this season!! Yay!!!... Or Lex... Meh...) and The Office. Heroes better rock this season. They goofed big time in season two. Focus on the Heroes you have now writers!! I read one spolier by accident (seriously, it was a total accident!). One of the characters who we thought died last season, got better...

Superman:Doomsday
SPOILERS N STUFF ahead.
So, we have Superman and Lois, being all couple like. Like in the comic...
We have Doomsday unearthed by Lex Corp, NOT like in the original story...
We have a slug-O-rama between Sups and Doomsday. Sorta like the comic, minus the Justice League's asses handed to them by the big D.
We have Superman dead. Like in the comic...
We have the funeral for a friend epilogue. Sorta like the comic, minus the DCU super heroes paying their respects.
We have the the death of Mercy. NOT like in the comic...
We have Lex clone the S man. NOT like the comic, that was Cadmus.
We have no Cyborg Superman, Steel, Eradicator or Superboy... Just a Psycho Superman... Not like the comic!
We have Psycho S Man kill Toyman. NOT like the comic, but kinda nifty as to why.
We have dead Superman retrieved from Lex Corp by his robot bitch. Sorta like the comic.
We have Psycho S Man totally lose it and his inventible smack down from a 67 percent of strength, S man.
Over all, NOTHING like the comic. If a movie adaptation is gonna be done, then why not use the original story and make it an actual, I don't know, ADAPTATION!. Grr!
In the Justice League cartoon series, they kinda did the death of Superman thing, minus Doomsday, and I thought they did a pretty decent job. Why couldn't DC's animation folk do the same here?
Because of this "movie", my new pet peeve: DOING AN ADAPTATION, MUST BE AT LEAST 80% FROM THE ORIGINAL !!
Over all, I still liked. I heart Adam Baldwin. I only wish they made S man more furry like Adam is.
WOOF!

Baby Daddy from the Scissor Sister is so freaking HOT! I guess he was at Lazy Bear a few years ago. Where the hell was I? Anyway, I'm thinking about putting Baby Daddy on my "To Do List".

Heroes! Best Show EVER!!/400th post!
But really. I love Heroes because it is brilliantly written, great characters and every week, I get a little more hooked. I have one small complaint. Greg Grunberg, who plays the woofy cop, needs to be shirtless more. I approved of Adrian Pasdar (the guy who plays Nathan Petrelli) furry chest. Yummy.
Oh... and this is 400th post.
yay!

Get My Geek On
I had a hard time following my characters through some of the scenes. I'm not sure who told the designers that players would care about arches that cover players playing field was uber important. It's not. I;d rather see Superman. But that's just me.
So far, I love playing Superman, Green Lantern and Martian Manhunter. The Flash and Zatana are ok. Wonder Woman kinda falls short, and Batman just plain sucks.
I like Justice League Heroes. I give it a B based on pure fanboy happiness.

Heroes
Oh... my... god...
Heroes, the new series on NBC kicked ass last night. I'm already hooked. My only gripe was the lack of Greg Gunberg (Wise from Alias)... until they had a "weeks to come montage" where they showed his furry chest... *sigh*
The first episode was fast paced and yet establised each character. I approve. I can't wait till next weeks episode.

Cartoon Catch Up!
Can I say how much I LOVE TiVo? I completely forgot that the season premier of The Batman was this past Saturday. This week, the season opener was about Robin and how he cam to be. it was a lot of story for an episode that lasted less than 30 seconds. That said, it was done brilliantly. it kept the story short and sweet without loosing the emotion and heart ache caused by the death of the Graysons'. I totaly geeked out when I heard Kevin Conroy's voice as Dick Grayson's dad. (in case you didn't know, Kevin Conroy was the voice of Batman from Batman The Animated Series and Justce Leauge/Unlimited)
Then The new Fantastic Four series on the Cartoon Network was a fanboys dream realized. The throw down between The Hulk and The Thing. It rocked. I wasn't sure I'd like this series becase it's too anime for me, but this episode kicked ass. I can't wait to see next weeks.
I'm sad to say that I forgot to TiVo Legion of Superheroes and Hellboy this week. But I fixed that.
I LOVE YOU TiVo!!

Brokeback Joke(r)...
So, why do I not think Heath Ledger will make a good Joker? That's really not the case at all. How can anyone compare to Jack Nicholson's Joker? They can't! Jack was amazing! Why not pick a villain that was badly done before and them off a new? The Riddler, Two Face, Poison Ivy, Mr. Freeze(My shitty Governor's portrayal of Mr. Freeze should be a reason impeach the sonofbitch!) and even BANE!? Or! Why not choose another villain for Batman to go up against? Ventriloquist, Killer Crock or Killer Moth.
And! Katie Holmes? Why is she back? I hope this movie won't kill Batman's revived movie franchise.

Who Wants To Be A Train Wreck?
My only grip so far is that fact the Stan Lee kicked off "Levity", an openly gay hero who wanted to win to fight for the rights of "different" people. But because he owns his own costume toy shop, and was revealed to have said he'd like to make money off his character, should he win, which lead to his dismissal in he first episode. And he was cute too!!
Another hilarious part of the show was when the heroes had to change from the secret identity into their costumes and reach a check point. The fastest person, wins. Well, Stan put a little girl by the check point, who was crying that she lost her mother. This was a sub test to see how would stop and help this little girl. Bah ha ha ha ha! Only life 5 out of the 12 heroes stopped to help the little girl. The others provided GREAT reality TV.
Last week, one of the heroes was booted off, and was later asked by Stan Lee to become a "Super Villain". Nice plot twist, but I saw that one coming.

Aquaman... OUT!
Characters who I think should have TV shows, while still paying homage their appearance in the comic book...
1. Question (Like Conspiracy Theory, but with better one liners)
2. Robin (Like Wonder Years, but with tights)
3. Young Justice (Like a bastardized version of Dawson's Creek/Veronica Mars, but no tights...)
These aren't the best characters is the world, but I think their TV series would much more interesting than Aquaman's. I hope the sea kings TV debut wont end with a hook, line and sinker.

Brainiac Attacks...
I won't give anything away, but the story was not that great. Superman and Lex Luther team up to take down Superman. Didn't this already happen in Superman's animated series and in Justice League Unlimited? The other thing that really bugged about this move was the lack of Clancy Brown, the original voice of Lex Luther. They got Powers Boothe (who ever the hell he is) to do Lex. He SUCKED! AND! Lex was not suave and tactful like he has been in the TV series, he was more mad scientist meets campy. And don't even get me started on Brainiac's voice. SUCKED!
A few good things about the film.
Tim Daly back as Superman's voice
Dana Delany as Lois
AND!
The loss of Jimmy Olson's mullet (thank god!)
For what it is, it's an ok film. One thought did come to mind... why even bother? "Attacks" finds its place at the bottom of the list of straight to DVD films from Warner Bro's Animation.

Again!!
I saw Superman Returns again last night my Hubby. It was even better the second time! I still plan to help support the movie later this week. I wanna see it be the #1 film this Summer.
This here would be my next favorite film of all time. "Grayson" is one of those faux trailers that got the comic book world clamoring for a Dick Grayson film. Plus the fact that he's UBER WOOFY helps a bit... Check it out to see what I mean.

HOLY SHIT! I SAW SUPERMAN RETURNS TODAY!
I'm not sure how it happened, but I calmed myself down long enough to laugh at the opening scene. The next scene took my breath away. Superman's return to earth was amazing. Brandon Roth filled out Superman's tights remarkably well. Every shot Brian Singer did of Brandon Roth was artistic and graceful and beautiful. So much, that you could almost hear the phrase "make love to the camera" from Brain and to Brandon. Yeah, they were totally making out.
Kate Bosworth was a decent Lois Lane. Not too bitchy, yet not too whinny. I think she did a far better job then Katie Holmes did in Batman Begins. There was also some really good chemistry between Brandon and Kate which was translated really well with the Superman and Lois relationship.
Kevin Spacey... Genius! Parker Posey... Amazing!
The movie... Breathtaking...
I fell crazy hard for Superman, Clark Kent because of Brandon Roth's performance. He embodied all that I believed Superman and Clark Kent to be. Sexy, strong, smart and funny. In other words, the perfect man... next to my Hubby or course. I walked out of the movie theater with an even bigger smile than the one I walked in with. Right now, I can still see Superman give the camera a flirty smile, and Brain Singer's artist crotch shots. Yummy...
Go see this movie! There is one gutsy sub-plot that will rock the Superman mythos for years to come. You wont be disappointed.

Only Miss Janet...
I'm not sure what a coffee enema is, but if it makes Janet look that great, then I should be going to Starbucks more often, yet, I'd rather it go in my mouth then my bum. I'm just say'in.
Janet gives me hope that a chunky person, ever at her age, can still drop the weight and make heads turn... But it's how you lose it that matters. I have been on a roller coaster ride of fast food, left overs and light eating ever since the AIDS Ride. I have to get back to the swing of things, AND WITH NO EXCUSES! Lazy Bear is a few months away and I wanna be free to walk around topless without a harpoon thrown at me.
Thanks again Miss Janet for showing me how shed the extra pounds!

June 26th!
I have been so giddy the past few days. I get to see how hot Brando Roth is as Superman! PLUS! I'm hoping there was no photoshopping his package down to an average size. It's SUPERMAN! Isn't he supposed to have a huge tool?! I'm just say'in...
If you guys wanna see some Superman Returns stuff before the movie, check out iTunes podcasts, Superman Returns. They have some pretty nifty stuff, like Parker Posey, who I LOVE! Brian Singer commentary and behind the scenes stuff.
In the mean time, I'll be having personal moments with my visions of Brandon Roth's huge talent...

X3 Ranting...
I hated the story! It was too much to tell and had too many subplots happening. Where the hell was the Phoenix effect? She had it in X2, but not X3? Jean Grey having a split personality? WTF? Her killing off Scott and Professor X? Are you kidding me? And Storm? She was a total bitch in this movie. In the comics Storm is a bitch, but she's also the voice of reason, and inspiration. I didn't get her bras bitchy balls persona. Logan was cool. Rogue, eh. Kitty Pride, great potential for the (if ever) movie. Angel? Why bother. Colossus, yummy. Iceman, not bad. Beast, I was pleased with his portrayal. Mystique, SHOULD NOT HAVE LOST HER POWERS!
I can spend the whole day ripping the movie apart for not playing well with the comics reference, but the action scenes where pretty amazing. I'm just too bitter about the lack of X-Men comic book history in this movie. My mom always told me,"if you can't do it right, then don't do it all"...
I miss Brian Singer.

Justice League Unlimted... No more...
In honor of the JLU season finale, I would like to list my top ten favorite JL/JLU episodes.
#10 "For the Man Who Has Everything" This episode was about Superman's birthday, and it first aired on my birthday. It holds a special sentimental place in my heart.
# 9 "The Greatest Story Never Told" This was one the funnest episodes of the series. Booster Gold's character was captured dead on.
#8 "Epilogue" Terry McGinnis' Batman Beyond. Nuff Said!
#7 "A Better World" The only way to have the Crime Syndicate in the animation world was the "Justice Lords". It was uber kewl.
#6 "Ultimatum" This episode pays homage to the old school "Challenge of the Superfriends" with a modern twist.
#5 Double Date" Gail Simone is a genus! She's the only one who can write Black Canary and the Huntress with quick witted banter. And why is the Question hot to me if I can't see his face?
#4 "the Doomsday Sanction" Superman vs. Doomsday... Again, Nuff Said!...
#3 "Hearafter" The tribute to "The Death of Superman" was very cleverly done.
#2 Grudge Match" This episode cemented Wonder Woman as a force to be wrecking with.
#1
While I will miss the JLU very much, the future looks bright.

"All you'll need is an original idea for a superhero, a killer costume, and some real superhero mojo. The winner of this six-week competition will walk away with their superhero immortalized in a new comic book created by Stan Lee himself. It gets better: The winning character will also appear in an original SCI FI Channel movie!

Mid terms, parties and TV... Week in review...
Mid terms are done!!! It was the worst week for brain. I hade to do two essay papers, 10 identifications of race and ethnicity and a 10 page term paper. So now I wait... These papers have a lot of barring on what my final grade is gonna be.
To celebrate this week of craziness, Friday night, The Sacramento WOOF! Society had a Camouflage party, and I got so drunk... like I hardly remember getting home and going to bed. But from what I could remember, I had fun.

Jake for Best Supporting Actor
Ang Lee for Best Director...
and to the one I didn't see coming...
Michelle (Dawson's Creek) Williams for Best Supporting Actress!
Truth be told, I lover her in Brokeback Mountain. She was brilliant as the roll of a "unsuspecting wife of a gay man". When she cried, and got angry, I was right there with her.
Cheers to you Michelle! Who said there was no life after Dawson's Creek... well except for Katie Holmes... She's up for a Razzie for her uber sad performance in Batman Begins... Heh... it looks neither one of you got the guy... in the movie that is...

Justice League "Unlimited" my ass!
The interview/report didn't give much to go on, but it sounds like the future of JLU is in the hands of Bruce Tim because he wants to do something else.
The other things I read that kinda concerned me was the possible cancellation of Teen Titans, a new Doom Patrol series (because the comics do so well), and a Supergirl/Legion of Superheros series.

Project Runway 2
Last season, Wendy Pepper was the bitch you loved to hate... This season, the bitch list is just too great to chose from.
From a whining little bitch from LA (as pictured from the left who I would've thrown off the runway for that sad crying scene), to an egotistical bitch (Santino), to just plain bitchiness (Emmett). Project Runway sews up the drama and talent that drew me to this show in the fist place.
I do love Danny Franco (he was cut from the first episode last season). No only is he a powder keg waiting to happen, but he's got the goods. I thought the judges picked on him more until the last episode when they told him he was "in" before the actual elimination.
And did I mention the HOMO factor? Yeah, there seems to be a ton of homos this season. Which just goes to show... The more homos you get, the more fabulous the drama and couture will be.

G.O.F. Rocked!
Even with the all the cut plots from the book, the movie still held it's integrity with most basic and important plot... The return of Voldemort.
Even with all the trimming of the book, the movie was still two and half hours long. A few things I wish made the movie...
Dobby
Rita Skeeter getting hers
More Sirius Black
More of the Quidditch World Cup opening sequence
And
Vicktor Krum... Shirtless... (even though he's not furry... sigh) I know it's not in the book, but it's my head.
I can't wait for Order of the Phoenix. or the final book for that matter...

Sly... Let it go...
E News reported this...
"Rocky Balboa is about everybody who feels they want to participate in the race of life, rather than be a bystander," the 59-year-old Stallone said in a statement. "You're never too old to climb a mountain, if that's your desire."
Or relive the glory days.
59 years old? In a boxing movie? Who wants to see that? Don't get me wrong, I love a good comeback story, but Rocky was in my opinion, a one movie deal. Sly can do other things if he wants a comeback project, and not that reality T.V. show he did (the name escapes me right now). Maybe I should withhold my judgment till I see some previews... But as of right now... yeah... not gonna see it.

New Fall Line Up!
Ah... fall is here... Finally!! I've been waiting patiently for the start of the new fall season, and this year, I'm gonna be busy watching some serious TiVo.
Here's what I plan on watching, starting with Sunday...
Sunday
8:00
Simpson's
9:00
Desperate Housewives
Family Guy
9:30
American Dad (maybe)
There's not much going on for TV Sunday that'll have me TiVo'ing. I might do Grey's Anatomy, but for right now... naw.
Monday
8:00
Arrested Development
8:30
Kitchen Confidential
9:00
Prison Break
10:00
Medium
I can't wait to see Kitchen Confidential. Mmm Will (Alias) and Zander (Buffy)... This is FOX, so I know I can't get too attached. Prison Break... *sigh* Hot men in jail. My kinda show... again, it's FOX. Not holding my breath for a full season, but at least I'll get a DVD boxed set out of it.
Tuesday
8:00
Bones (mmm Angel...)
9:00
House
Supernatural
I'm not sure what the deal is this season... Sci Fi shows are pretty much on every network. I've not seen House, but I keep hearing how good it is. Plus it made it past a 1st season. For FOX, that's pretty impressive. I'm kinda curious to see how Bones and Supernatural do. Then again, hot guys will keep me watching anything... or at least TiVo it.
Wednesday
8:00
The Apprentice: Martha Stewart
9:00
Lost (mmm... Matthew Fox...)
Veronica Mars
Criminal Minds (Thank god we have 2 Tivos!)
10:00
Invasion
Lost! I've been waiting so bloody long for some Matthew Fox action! I love me some Veronica Mars, and Invasion looks kinda cool. I really wanna see Criminal Minds. It looks pretty intense.
Thursday
8:00
Smallville
Alias
The O.C. (ahhh... 2 Tivos)

CSI
Reunion (Not sure why I bother... FOX will cancel it after two episodes...)
Smallville always has pretty good season finales. So I'm looking forward to see how they explain all the goings on last season. Alias... Yeah, I missed the season because it focused to much on the sister. Then when Tivo died a few months back, we lost all the saved episodes. I heard it kicked ass last 4-3 episodes. Hurry Season 4 boxed set! The O.C. however had me ditch the TiVo season pass because it got to stupid so I'm giving it a second chance. Plus, you never know when they'll have a Ryan and Seth pillow fight. HOT!
Friday
7:00
BattleStar Galactica
8:00
Ghost Whisperer
9:00
Killer Instinct
Battlestar Galactica is one of the best shows on TV. I really can't explain Ghost Whisperer or Killer Instinct other than they look to be pretty interesting. $10.00 bucks says that Ghost Whisperer bits the dust first this season.
Saturday
7:00
Justice League Unlimited
Yeah, this is pretty much a given. This season the JLU take on the Legion of Doom! Hell Yeah!
So... that about sums up my TV time this season. I'm kinda bumbded that I have no desire to watch Joey, Will and Grace, Charmed, Survivor, America's Top Model, House Commander in Chief or The Amazing Race. I guess I'm a freak or something, but these shows have either lost their luster or just plain compete with other shows... even with two Tivos.
I do have a question... What new show do you think will bite it first? Again, my money is Ghost Whisperer... any takers?

I miss Buffy...
Now, I did hear that Spike might have a TV movie in the works really soon. I'm not sure if Spike can carry a TV movie, but a Faith or Willow and Kennedy movie have my vote.

Fantastic Four
It's good to know the right people. Last Thursday, the Hubby and I went to see a screening of Fantastic Four. A very good friend of ours is a promoter and gave us the VIP treatment. It was cool.
To be honest, I had no expectations about the move. The last time I did, the Hulk ended up to be a huge disappointment. After watching the Fantastic Four, I left feeling kinda confused. The special effects were amazing. The chemistry between the Human Torch and the Thing was just how it is in the comic book. But for the others characters... What the hell? Reed is supposed to a smartest guy in the world, meaning always speaks in geek terminology. In this movie he just seemed to be a regular science teacher. Sue? She was pretty to look at, but I didn't see much of the character. And don't get me started on Doctor Doom. The movie had some camp appeal, but all in all I felt the movie was rushed and not very well plotted out.
I will say that seeing the Human Torch shirtless, made warm and fuzzy all over. Damn he's hot! And seeing Ben Grim shirtless was pretty woofy in it self.
If you wanna go see some great effects and nice topless men, check out Fantastic Four. Anything else and you'll be disappointed.

Justice is served
OMG! I love Justice League Unlimited!
This series is amazing. I have not been hooked on a cartoon like this since Aeon Flux. If your not watching it you should. It's really good TV. From Captain Marvel ramming a bus into Superman to the Question's romance with the Huntress. this stuff is better than comics. While some of the stories are from the comics, the spins the JLU writers are putting into the episodes, are simply awe inspiring. Who knew the Question was this cool? Who knew Captain Marvel could put the JLU in their place? Who knew Vibe could actually be a cool looking member?
The current story line, is kinda mirroring what's going in the DCU now. It has a hint of Infinite Crisis all over it. TiVo it! You wont be sorry.

Scarecrow Rocked!
Batman Begins was amazing! So much was in this movie, and it all fit perfectly. I was never a bit Scarecrow fan, but no I'm a believer. And Ras? He's the man. My only grip was the actions scenes looked to jumbled and hard to follow. But other than that, it was kick ass! I'm wondering if the "calling card" sets up the next movie. If not, I would love to see a better Two Face story.
Another reason why I loved Batman Begins was the Serenity trailer. I can't wait till that fall for that movie to open. Good thing we own the Firefly series on DVD.
Go see Batman Begins! it's worth the three hours!

Lost
Crash put this cool link on his site. If you're a fan of Lost, you'll get a kick out of this. All you need to do is go here and click on seat numbers: 4-8-15-16-23-42, and you'll get a nifty sneak peek to season 2. There's more cool hidden stuff in this site, I've found a few things myself. For more stuff... go here and have at it.
The whole premises of the show is revealed a.k.a. a spoiler (I think anyway).

DC's next movie?...
The Flash Baby!!!
I just read that David Goyer (Blade; writer and director) will write and direct the Flash for a 2006/2007 release. I vote for Ryan Reynolds to the play Wally West. Ryan's name has been attached to the film for a while and since Goyer already worked with Reynolds in Blade Trinity, Reynolds might be a shoe in.
*Fingers crossed*
BTW, can anyone tell me?... Is David Goyer gay? Blade Trinity was a very gay'ish film... shirtless men, extreme happy trail shoots, Hannibal's gay comments, Parker Posey... It all adds up...

Frank Gorshin (The Riddler) 1934-2005
I just found out that Frank Gorshin died this past Tuesday. He was the best Riddler ever. I remember him playing Riddler when Batman was in syndication. To be honest, the Riddler was never one of my favorite villains, but I when I think of the Riddler, I think of Frank. I may have to watch the 1960's Batman movie to pay homage to his memory.

Super Posey...
Parker Posey has just been added to the cast of Superman Returns. She's gonna play Lex's henchwoman "Kitty Koslowski". She's gonna rock! I am so stoked about this! She was great in Blade Trinity, but even she couldn't save that movie. Now both fanboys and fagboys alike will rush to see to the man of steel and the ultimate party girl make a triumphant return to the big screen! (I'm not counting Blade Trinity)

HIV and Saddness...
I love Erasure! I have almost all their CDs, singles and imports. I can honestly say I'm a huge fan. Imagine my shock when I read that Andy Bell (lead vocalist of Erasure) is HIV Positive. I cried. If I had a soundtrack of my life done up, most of the songs in it would be from Erasure. I've read several articles that he's done to promote Erasures new CD "Nightbird" which by the way is awesome. Andy talks a lot about his HIV status and how he feels great to have that news public. Erasure has been a strong force in my life. They have music with a strong message and it helped me get through the coming out process. For that I will always be greatful. Read up on Andy and send him good vibes and help support the fight against HIV and ultimately AIDS.

Sheer Dallas
I love reality TV! My new guilty pleasure? Sheer Dallas It's a new show on TLC thats so hilarious I had to blog about it. Who knew Dallas was so gay? I will admit that one of the reasons why I watch it is for Billy. He's the token straight guy... and bloody HOT!
If you get a chance, check out Sheer Dallas!

Showdog Mom's and Dad's
I've just finished watching Showdog Mom's and Dad's, and I have never laughed so hard in my life. It's got to be the funniest reality show on TV. It's a show about show-dogs and their parents. Of course there's a gay couple who are REALLY gay (and kinda cute for youngsters). These guys are the definition of Drama Queens. They fight like cats and dogs... yeah I had to through that in there.... The other parents are just as deranged. It's like watching a train wreck, you just have to keep watching...
I must TiVo this show.

Banning together... against the evil that is FOX
I was checking out the TiVo's upcoming episodes to be recorded and I noticed that a show that I LOVE had no episodes slated to record. I checked this website out and there it was, cancelled... Point Pleasant.
Point Pleasant kinda sorta was taken from a character from the Teen Titans (the chick with the blue cowl in the picture above). it's a story about a girl who's mama is human and her daddy is the devil. You know, the normal Fox concocted TV show geared towards the teens/young adult audience it was meant to relate to. And I was hooked. The lead girl looked a little like Christina Aguilera. And the leading man? H.O.T.!!! Nice body! He made me wanna change my shorts... Then... poof! it's cancelled.
Why is all that all the great shows that Fox has end up being cancelled? Firefly, Wonderfalls, Cedric the Entertainer Presents, Wanda At Large, The Mountain, all these shows might've had a chance on another net work. Andromeda made a smart move and went to the Sci-Fi channel. Fox the network needs to be bitch slapped! Give these shows a chance! Fox is famous for changing the T.V. shows time slot or taking them off the air for a few weeks. Ugh!
I will say that I was so happy to see Wonderfalls on DVD a few months back. I only hope that Point Pleasant gets the same treatment.
Fox! You're on my list!

SIN-fully Amazing!

Oh... My... God... !...
That's what I said as I walked out of the movie theater last night. Sin City was so bloody incredible! Emphasis on the word BLOODY... It's a good thing the film was done in black and white (mostly anyway) because all that blood would've made me sick.
ALL the actors that played the characters fit the bill perfectly. I think I have a crush on Bruce Willis now. He's hot! (for a 50 plus year old man...) I was so glad they touched on the most of the major stories form the comic books. My only bitch about this movie is that it did seem a bit longer than it needed to be. But the cast was stellar!
I strongly recommend this film to all action/adventure movie lovers.

Batman Begins...

Well, since I gave Sin City a movie trailer link, I thought it was only fair to do the same for Batman Begins. At Wonder Con, Christian Bale made a surprise appearance and talked about the movie. He gets what Batman is supposed to be about. I've started a countdown to Batman Begins... And the clock isn't moving fast enough!

Sin City

I get see the Frank Millers movie "Sin City" tomorrow. I am so excited! I love Frank Miller and the idea behind "Sin City". I know that Frank had a ton of input on the making of this film, which means it'll be just like the comic. Here's a look at the tailer. Check it out April 1st.
Now if only we can get DC to do the "Dark Night Returns" movie... I'd be happy bear!

Young Avengers count down begins...

Yesterday I was on one of my favorite sites, Pop Culture Shock.com and I saw a preview to the upcoming Young Avengers comic due out in February. It's no secret that I'm not a huge Marvel fan, but this series caught me eye because Allan Heinberg, the producer of the O.C. is the writer of Young Avengers.
In just 7 pages, Allan's already made me re-hate J. J. Jameson, fall in love with former super-hero turned private detective Jessica Jones and managed to mention "Jem and the Holograms. Pretty good work for only 7 pages of previews. I can't wait for the rest of the book.
I seriously suggest you at least read the preview. I promise you wont be sorry (and no one has to know you read a comic book)

X-Men

So I was given a hard time by a certain Squishy that I TiVo too many cartoons... He's right though... So far I have on TiVo (cartoon wise)
1. The Batman (WB)
2. Teen Titans (Cartoon Network)
3. Justice Leauge Unlimited (Cartoon Network)
4. Spiderman and His Amazing Friends (Disney Channel)
5. Spiderman (Fox Family)
6. Superfriends (Toon)
and last but not least
7. X-Men (Disney Channel)
I will say that, while I'm not much for Marvel comics, I love(d) the old X-Men series. It was one of the very cartoons out there based on a comic that actually went by the comic. Like the "Phoenix Saga" for example, not quite to the letter as in the comic book, but pretty damn close.
I TiVo'd those shows for pure fun and nostalgia. Plus I pretty much grew up watching those cartoons, so it kinda took me back in time where I would be in my sleeper with a huge bowl of Fruity Pebbles (yes, Fruity Pebbles... my mom must've known something early on)and be an awe over Batman and Robin (insert obvious pun here). As for Squishy harassment? Yeah, I caught him watching X-Men when I got home from shopping last week. He was so busted. He also displayed an odd amount of knowledge as far as the X-Men cartoon series goes. Now if I can only train his brain to be a DC Comic guy...

Phantom Of The Opera...

My friend D.J. and I saw Phantom Of The Opera a few days ago. I have never seen the theater version, but man, I was floored. 2 and a half hours of singing, sword fighting and Minnie Driver... The costumes, the music, the acting... amazing. Gerard Butler...(pictured above) FREAKIN HOT!!! Plus he has a nice furry chest... I wouldn't mind him putting me in his bed for a night... Go see Phantom! Even if it was directed by Joel Schumacher (I still blame him for killing off the Batman film franchise... Batman Forever? Batman and Robin? Yeah, not very good films), but still a great film.

Idenity Crisis... Finale...

So for the past 6 months I've been reading a comic book that has had me biting at the nails till the next issue. Now, it's over. I just read Identity Crisis #7 and after it was all said and done, I've felt like...huh? I don't want to give the ending away, but man. I was kinda disappointed. The master mind behind the killing of the heros and villains was not who I thought it was. Yet, Brad Meltzer did an amazing job giving clues to who the killer would be, even in the first few pages of the comic. The ending made scene, and it felt like there was no loose ends... That is until I re-read the entire series. So many different things left open. From Lex's battle suit, to the "mind wipe" of Batman... yeah I could use more of a solid ending. But over all? An amazing read. The way I look at my childhood heroes will never be the same.

Hot Daddy!!

Scott and I watched Raising Helen last night. It was so cute! I liked Kate Hudson, but now I LOVE her! She was great! But I must say that John Corbett looked HOT. He plays a paster for a Lutheran church. I wanted to commit a sin, just so I can get on my knees in front of John Corbett. Yeah, I already know I'm going to hell. But what a way to go...

Oh... My... Gawd...
I Just saw Blade Trinity. It was pretty bad. I mean "Batman and Robin" bad. It was very campy and looked like a commercial for Calvin Kline, Apple and iPod. Parker Posey's in this movie and even she could'nt save it form it's bad acting. Though the fight scenes looked good, the acting by Triple XXX... *sigh*... even Mariah Carey was better in Glitter as far as acting goes... and that's not saying a whole hell a lot.
Luckily the eye candy was bloody amazing.

This post deserved two pictures. I decided to add Ryan Reynolds and Dominic Purcell to my list of men I can sleep without getting into trouble. Dominic Purcell is shirtless almost the entire movie. And I lost count how many times the director (Who I swear is a gay) got a close up on Ryan Reynold's happy trail... HOT!!

Blade Trinity... Bad movie.
Blade Trinity... Great eye candy.

Young Avengers...

Allan Heinberg: writer and producer of such shows as; Sex and the City, Gilmore Girls and most recently the widely successful Fox show, The O.C. has decided to write about something he knows a lot about... teen comic book super heroes. Young Avengers is a new monthly comic book from Marvel comics about four teens who look a lot like Captain America, Hulk, Thor and Iron Man... well the twink versions anyway. In this interview he explains what the series will be like and what he's been against... Judgmental Fans. Fans of the Avengers are not too happy with the junior version of the Avengers because they feel it's a rip off of one of my favorite titles, The Teen Titans (junior version of the Justice League).
I LOVE what Allan Heinberg writes on his shows. I also think he's got a good since of what a true comic book geek likes (Last week's O.C. seemed like a dream come true, I understood every comic related question Seth asked... Scott laughed at me). Writers, artists, story telling, you name it, he knows it. Why? Because he too is a huge comic book geek and he's proud of it. While I'm not a big Marvel comics fan, I can say that I will add "Young Avengers" to my monthly books to buy list. Check it out in February.

Hellblazer...

Constantine is a new movie staring Keanu Reeves that is based on DC Comic's Hellblazer. I'm not one for occult type movies but this one caught my eye because of the story it's telling. Jon Constantine is a man who tries to protect the world from, well, the Devil. It's kinda like a an action adventure version of the Exorcist. Keanu Reeve's looks yummy in this picture too, that alone will have me standing in line to buy a ticket for this film. I've been kinda bummed about the way this movie is being promoted. It's not. I've not seen any hype or advertisement for it and it's due out in theaters in February. Here's a trailer for Constantine. Let me know what you think.

Elektra...

Jennifer Garners new film "Elektra" comes out Janurary 14th 2005. Over the weekend I saw a few scenes from the movie and it looked good! Also, it was revealed that Ben Afleck will make a cameo appearance in this flick. Not sure if he's gonna be Matt Murdock or Daredevil or just a walk on, either way, Ben is always a nice source of eye candy. Here's a trailer to help tide us over

Divine Ms. Ross

I don't normally put "girls" (eww) on my site, in this case, it was not an option.
My FABULOUS best friend D,J, and I saw Diana Ross last night. Two words... Supremely Fabulous! She really knows how to put on an amazing show! She started the show with "Take me Higher" and then a bunch of her hits from the Supremes. I will say that when sang "Stop!... In the Name of Love" My hand acted like it had a mind of it's own. I too was hand dancing with Diana. God I hope no one saw that. She had 11 costume changes. Each one was as glittery as the next. I must say that my favorite part of the show was her "Lady Sings the Blues" medley. Wow. To end the night, she sang, for all of her gay fans, "I Will Survive". Yeah every queen in the auditorium sang along with her (this would include me)
The most memorable moment for me was a drag queen being thrown out of the concert, who was kicking, screaming, and obviously drunk. When the female security guard grabbed onto the drag queen, the drag queen tripped over her own high heel, fell and took the security guard down with her.
It looked like a scene from Ab Fab.
That night, Diana proved to Britney, Christina, Hilary and all the other young lady performers that she was truly, "The Boss"

Episode III...

When Scott and I saw The Incredibles (Which was an amazing movie.. but that's another post) last week, we were greeted with a trailer for Star Wars Episode III: The Revenge of the Sith. Wow, I hope this movie is as good as it's trailer. Either way, Anakin looked pretty hot, even though he's a big whiner. Still I wouldn't kick him out of bed. If starts to whine, then he can always bite the pillow ;)

A Supreme Evening...

How gay are you when you buy tickets to see the one the only... Ms. Diana Ross. I have not been this excited since Cher came to town for her never ending farewell tour. Me and my friend D.J. are both plotting to wear something shiny to show Mr. Ross our support. I do think her performance will be unbe-WEAVE-able!

Superman Lives!!!

I have never been so excited! The roll of Superman was given to Brandon Routh. He's a cutie. He was on One life to live (a soap I still watch) and boy was he nice to look at. I have not found any scripts on line yet for the flick, but as soon as I do I'll give out some info.
