BTW, I'm kinda grumpy that there're not many Mexican heroes. Vibe does not count! Wildcat II (Yolanda Montes) doesn't count either... She's dead. And don't get me started on Mas Y Menos from the animated Teen Titans series. They only lasted two episodes...

Do you read New X-Men and Wolverine...? I only read New X-Men and the
last issue seems to have killed off Northstar - but it seems like
there's more to the story. Do you know if they just killed off
Northstar in a Wolverine comic?

You would think it would follow population trends. There should be a bunch of Indian (from India) and Chinese (from China) superpowered people.
The grim reality is: A lot of it is where the market is. If there was a bunch of Cameroonians (from Cameroon) buying comic books it wouldn't a week before "The first Cameroonian hero" hit the shelves. Comics first have to sell - then they can be about social commentary, etc.
